APPROVAL OF PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES OF JUNE 1, 2016.

 

PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD. (not to exceed a total of 15 minutes)

Each member of the audience may address the Commission on any subject within the Commission’s business. CONSENT CALENDAR. The consent calendar is approved with one motion. These items are read only on request of Commission members. Should anyone, including members of the public, wish to discuss or disapprove any item, it must be dropped from the blanket motion and considered as a separate item.

 

1.            Cocos Mexico Restaurant Downtown Permit at 229 Town Center West. Review of a Downtown Permit (DT2016-0010) for Coco’s Mexico Restaurant with associated live entertainment on a 0.7 acre site in the Town Center District of the Downtown Specific Plan.

            RECOMMENDATION: That the Planning Commission, by motion, approve Downtown Permit DT2016-0010.

2.            MADLAND TOYOTA-LIFT CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AT 222 N. BLOSSER ROAD. Review of a Conditional Use Permit (U2016-0004) for Madland Toyota-Lift for forklift sales, rental, and service on a 0.6 acre site in a CM (Commercial/Manufacturing) zoning district.

RECOMMENDATION: That the Planning Commission, by motion, approve Conditional Use Permit U2016-0004.

RECOMMENDATION: That the Planning Commission, by motion, approve the Consent Calendar.

3.            WESTGATE MARKETPLACE SHOPPING CENTER AMENDMENT TO A PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PERMIT AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SOUTH BLOSSER ROAD AND WEST BATTLES ROAD. Review of a Permit Amendment (A2016-0011), for the Towbes Group, to amend Planned Development Permit (PD2007-012), to reduce the size of the Westgate Marketplace shopping center from 13.1 acres to 7.6 acres on property located the in the PD/CC (Planned Development/Convenience Commercial) zoning district of the Blosser-Southwest Specific Plan.

RECOMMENDATION: That the Planning Commission, by motion, approve Amendment A2016-0011.

4.            WESTGATE SENIOR APARTMENTS PLANNED DEVELOPMENT PERMIT ON THE NORTH SIDE OF BATTLES ROAD APPROXIMATELY 350 FEET WEST OF SOUTH BLOSSER ROAD. Review of a Planned Development Permit (PD2015-0020) and Density Bonus for Westgate Senior Apartments, to allow up to 193 senior apartment units on a 5.52-acre site in the PD/R-3 (Planned Development/High Density Residential) zoning district of the Blosser-Southwest Specific Plan.

RECOMMENDATION: That the Planning Commission, by motion, approve Planned Development Permit PD2015-0020.
