Los Flores Ranch Park is the first of its kind regional open space park in the Santa Maria Valley. At 1,778 acres (nearly 2.8 square miles), the property lies about eight miles south of Santa Maria in the Solomon Hills. The park offers the public a rare mix of environmental education, land preservation and recreation, with about eight miles of hiking/equest-rian/mountain biking trails. Guided docent tours are available. At certain times of the year, guided nature walks will be held on the second Saturday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Walkers will meet at the visitor center off of Dominion Road. Volunteer recruitment is also under way to fill critical park maintenance, docent and hiking guide roles. Training will be provided for all volunteers. Los Flores Ranch Park Hours of Operation
Pacific Standard Time (fall/winter schedule): Thursday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. last entry at 4:00 p.m.
Daylight Savings Time (spring/summer schedule): Thursday through Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. last entry at 6:00 p.m.
User Access Fees:
- Youth 17 and under: Free
- Adults 18- 64: $3.75
- 65 years and over: Free
- Annual Pass: $52
The annual pass is good for one year from the date of purchase and allows access for up to six guests at one time. - City of Santa Maria residents and owners of business located within the City of Santa Maria area are entitles to free access at the park. Address verification will be required upon registration at the park’s visitor center.
